BASIC OBEDIENCE TRAINING GROUP

Starting Wednesday 31st January at 9.30am


Our aim is to provide a learning environment for all adult dogs. This group is aimed at handlers who wish to build on their level of obedience and engagement skills. An ideal group for handlers who wish to develop skills they’ve learnt in older puppy class, or an ideal group for older dogs to join after 1-1 training. 


The group will focus on the obedience skills and essential day to day management skills required for a well-behaved family pet. This is suitable for all breeds. 


The class will be held every Wednesday at 9.30am – 10.30am.


All dogs attending must be non-reactive. 


Handlers will need to bring treats and a toy your dog enjoys.


The group will start as a drop-in session. The aim is to create a small group that develop and support each other in training their dogs. An opportunity to practice skills and gain confidence working in a group around other dogs, enabling you to enjoy your dog in the real life situations. 


The cost per dog and handler £20.00 per session.

DROP IN OLDER PUPPY CLASS

These are pay as you go, drop in sessions, no need to book in.

The classes are run at 2pm each Thursday 

This class is for older puppies and adolescents from 5 months onwards - adult. Please bring some treats and a toy, and park in the overflow golf range car park. 

Cost is £15 on the day via cash or card

DROP IN BABY PUPPY CLASS

These are pay as you go, drop in sessions, no need to book in.

The classes are run at 2pm each Tuesday

This class is for baby puppies from 12 weeks (fully vaccinated) - approx 5 months. Please bring some treats and a toy, and park in the overflow golf range car park. 

Cost is £15 on the day via cash or card

DROP IN GENERAL GUNDOG CLASS

General Gundog Class

This is a drop in group. Running Thursdays at 12.30pm - 1.30pm. 

This course is for dogs who have their basic skills established and are ready to learn and improve on more skills. Some prior knowledge of gundog skills is required. Dogs must be able to walk sensibly on the lead, sit stay, have a good recall and desire to retrieve. Dogs must be safe around other dogs. Please bring a dummy bag, whistle and dummy to each session. All gundog breeds welcome.

YOUNG RETRIEVER TRAINING GROUP


Starting Wednesday 17th January


Our aim is to provide a learning environment for young retrievers from 6 months to 18 months old. This group is aimed at handlers who wish to attain a high level of obedience and gundog skills with their young dog. An ideal group for handlers who wish to work towards Working tests/Field trials, the shooting filed or a stimulated family working bred dog. 


The group will focus on the obedience and steadiness for needed Gundog work. All core retrieving skills will be covered, using a whistle (including a stop whistle command,) and directional skills. Shot will be introduced (when appropriate).


The class will be held every Wednesday at 12:30pm – 13:30pm. Dogs attending must be over 6months old and not older than 18 months old. 


All dogs attending must have a keenness to retrieve, with basic heel work and a good recall. 


Handlers will need to bring a whistle, a canvas dummy, and a bag for dummies/ training aids.



The group will start as a drop-in session, then become a closed group. The aim is to create a small group that develop and support each other in training their young Spaniels . An opportunity to practice skills and challenges working in a group. 


The cost per dog and handler £20.00 per session.

YOUNG SPANIEL TRAINING GROUP

Starting Thursday 25th January


Our aim is to provide a learning environment for young Working spaniels from 6 months to 18 months old. This group is aimed at handlers who wish to attain a high level of obedience and gundog skills with their young dog. An ideal group for handlers who wish to work towards Working tests/Field trials, the shooting filed or a stimulated family working bred dog. 


The group will focus on the obedience and steadiness for needed Gundog work Hunting skills , all  the core retrieving skills will be covered, using a whistle (including a stop whistle command,) and directional skills. Shot will be introduced (when appropriate).


The class will be held every Thursday at 9.30am – 10.30am. Dogs attending must be over 6months old and not older than 18 months old. 


All dogs attending must have a keenness to  hunt and retrieve, with basic heel work and a good recall. 


Handlers will need to bring a whistle, a canvas dummy, and a bag for dummies/ training aids.

Objective: To help progress your gundog towards the shooting field and/or competitions.

REACTIVE DOG CLUB

This session is strictly for clients who have previously attended a reactive dog session with Dan.


The session is designed to offer group support and improve obedience and control around other dogs.

Please ensure you bring any equipment you need for your dog. If your dog is a bite risk, it must be muzzled.
